  • 1.5 cups - Maida
  • 1.4 cups - Sugar
  • 1 cup - ripe Banana ( peeled and finely chopped )
  • 3/4 cup - Ghee
  • 1/2 cup - Milk
  • How to Make Maida and Banana Burfi:

    1. Fry the banana pieces in ghee till brown.
    2. Drain and reserve.
    3. Add Maida to the remaining ghee in the kadai and fry till fragrant.
    4. Add rest of the ingredients and mix well.
    5. Stir till the mixture forms a thick lump that comes away from the sides of the kadai.
    6. To test, take a tsp of the mixture and drop on a small plate.
    7. Rub with the back of the spoon.
    8. If the mixture can be shaped into a ball that does not stick to the fingers and is fairly firm, the end point is right.
    9. If not, cook for some more time.
    10. During the testing, remove the kadai from fire.
    11. Pour in a greased thali.
    12. Cool till it gets firm and cut it to pieces.
