Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp. makai ka atta (maize flour)
  • 10 cups chapatti atta
  • 2 cups grated carrots
  • 1 tbsp. grated ginger
  • 4 green chillies, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. chopped coriander
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • Warm water for kneading
  • Ghee

How to Make Makkai and gajjar ki roti

  • Sieve together makkai ka atta, chappati atta and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add the carrots, green chillies, ginger, coriander and water.
  • Knead to a smooth dough.
  • Divide the dough into 20 balls.
  • Flatten and carefully roll out into rotis slightly thicker than paratha.
  • Heat the tawa/griddle and place the roti, pour some ghee around it and cook on both sides and serve hot with butter, cream cheese or any vegetable dish, especially sarson ka saag.
