  • 4 tbsp. makai ka atta (maize flour)
  • 10 cups chapatti atta
  • 2 cups grated Carrots
  • 1 tbsp. grated Ginger
  • 4 green chillies, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. chopped coriander
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • Warm water for kneading
  • Ghee
  • How to Make Makkai and gajjar ki roti:

    1. Sieve together makkai ka atta, chappati atta and salt in a large bowl.
    2. Add the carrots, green chillies, ginger, coriander and water.
    3. Knead to a smooth dough.
    4. Divide the dough into 20 balls.
    5. Flatten and carefully roll out into rotis slightly thicker than paratha.
    6. Heat the tawa/griddle and place the roti, pour some ghee around it and cook on both sides and serve hot with butter, cream cheese or any vegetable dish, especially sarson ka saag.
