How to Make Mamidi Pappu (Mango Dal)

  • Cook dal till soft.
  • Chop mango into small pieces.
  • Heat oil, season with mustard, fenugreek, asafoetida and curry leaves.
  • Add onion and chopped green chillies and fry till light brown.
  • Add turmeric, mango pieces and 1-1.5 cup of water.
  • Cook till mango is soft.
  • Add dal, salt and simmer for few minutes.
  • Garnish generously with coriander leaves.
