Ingredients

  • 1 kg - jackfruit, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 kg - raw mangoes, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp - banarasi rai, pound coarsely
  • 2 tbsp - fennel seeds, pound coarsely
  • 1 1/2 tbsp - Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tbsp - Nigella seeds
  • 1 tbsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - asafetida powder
  • Mustard oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Mango and Jackfruit Pickle

  • Combine all the ingredients except oil with the fruit and mix thoroughly.
  • Arrange in a large glass jar.
  • Heat oil to smoking point.
  • Allow to cool and pour enough oil on top to cover.
