  • 6 - medium size half ripe mangoes (any variety)
  • 500 g - sugar
  • 1 tsp - cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp - lime juice
  • A pinch of salt

How to Make Mango Preserve

  • Peel and cut the mangoes into small pieces.
  • Throw away the seeds.
  • Cook the mango pieces with sufficient water till soft.
  • Mash well.
  • Add the sugar, cinnamon powder, lime juice and salt and simmer till the mixture thickens and looks transparent.
  • Cool and store.
