Ingredients

  • Raw Mango - 1
  • Coconut - 1
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Red Chillies - 3
  • Buttermilk - 1 cup
  • Curry leaves - A few
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Jaggery - 2 tsps
  • Salt as required
  • How to Make Mango pulissery:

    1. Peel the skin of the mango and cook it well with salt, turmeric and jaggery.
    2. When the mango is fully cooked, mash it and keep it aside.
    3. Grind coconut and chillies finely by adding 1/2 cup of buttermilk in a blender.
    4. Now mix the ground coconut with the cooked mangoes.
    5. Add the remaining 1/2 cup buttermilk.
    6. Mix all these well.
    7. When it boils, remove from flame.
    8. Season it by toasting mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves in oil and mix with mango curry.
