Ingredients

  • 250 g - Refined flour or Maida
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 250 g - Butter
  • 300 g - Sugar powdered
  • 4 tsp - Milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 3 - eggs, beaten well
  • 2 tbsp - coca powder
  • How to Make Marble Cake:

    1. Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together.
    2. Cream the butter and sugar well.
    3. Gradually add the eggs and mix well.
    4. Add the vanilla essence.
    5. Fold in the flour slowly.
    6. Add milk if the mixture is too thick.
    7. Divide the mixture into 2 portions.
    8. Mix the cocoa powder with a tsp of milk and pour alternate tbspfuls of the plain and chocolate mixture into the papered cake tin, till both mixtures are used up.
    9. Bake the marble cake in a moderate oven for about 1 hour .
