Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Rice
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1/2 cup - Green peas
  • 1/2 cup - tindora (tendli)
  • 1 - Potato
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Dry masala:
  • 3 tbsp - dry grated Coconut
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp - Jeera
  • 5 flakes - Garlic
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1 - small piece of Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - galdi powder
  • 1.5 tsp - goda masala
  • How to Make Masala Bhat:

    1. Grind the dry masala and keep aside.
    2. Heat oil and add 2 bay leaves.
    3. Then add onion and fry till light brown.
    4. Add rice, peas, tendli, potato and fry for a minute.
    5. Add the ground masala. Stir.
    6. Add 2 cups hot water and cook till rice is done.
