Ingredients

  • 1 cup - all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup - Butter
  • 2 tsp - Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 3/4 tsp - baking powder
  • 3 tsp - mixture of hot peppers (chopped), Curry leaves (chopped), Ginger (grated), Cilantro (chopped), Mint (chopped)
  • 2-3 tsp Yogurt

How to Make Masala Cookies

  • Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut the butter in with the flour, and add sugar.
  • Do not knead. It must be of bread crumb consistency.
  • Mix in the chopped peppers, curry leaves, ginger, cilantro and mint. Add yogurt and mix well.
  • Roll the dough to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into desired shapes.
  • Place on a baking sheet 2 inches apart.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or till done.
