  • 1 cup - Rice (washed and soaked for 15 minutes)
  • 1 cup - Corn kernels
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 1 - Tomato (chopped)
  • 1 cup - green bell pepper (cubed)
  • 1 tsp - pav bhaji masala
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Butter
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

How to Make Masala Corn Rice

  • Heat enough oil in a pan, add the onions and saute until they turn translucent.
  • Add the tomatoes, cook for few more minutes.
  • Now add the cubed bell peppers and corns and saute everything together.
  • Add the pav bhaji masala, red chilli powder and salt to the vegetables and saute for a few seconds.
  • Now add the rice, stir well, add two cups of water and cook everything on simmer until the rice gets well cooked.
  • Add the butter to the cooked corn rice and serve with papads or any kind of spicy side dish.
