Ingredients

  • Channa dal - 1.5 cups
  • Chopped Onions - 1 cup
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Red Chillies - 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Carrot (Grated) - 1/2 cup
  • Curry leaves (Chopped) - 7
  • Mint leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Grated Coconut - 3 tbsp
  • How to Make Masala Wada:

    1. Soak channa dal in water for up to 3 hours.
    2. Drain the water and grind it with the chillies into a thick paste. The paste should be thick and coarse.
    3. Add onions, salt, curry leaves, carrots, mint leaves and coconut to the paste.
    4. Make small balls and flatten it. Deep fry in oil until golden brown.
    5. Serve hot.
