Ingredients

  • 500 g - Mutton
  • 2 cup - onion, finely sliced
  • 1.5 cup - black Masoor (whole), washed and drained
  • 2 tbsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - sambar powder
  • 3 green chillies, slit
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 2 tbsp - Lime juice
  • salt to taste

How to Make Massor Ghosht

  • Cut mutton into bite size pieces.
  • Heat the oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Fry onion till light brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry till fragrant.
  • Add all the powders, fry for few seconds.
  • Add mutton, Masoor, tomato and green chillies. Add salt to taste.
  • Add about 3 cups of water and pressure cook for 20 minutes.
  • Add lime juice and serve hot with steamed rice or Chapathi.
