  • karelas, sliced thinly (smeared with salt and haldi overnite) - 2 to 3 nos
  • sesame powder - 2 tsp
  • red chilli powder - 1.5 tsp
  • jeera - 1 tsp
  • fresh dahnia chopped - 2 tsp
  • oil to fry
  • salt to taste

How to Make Mast Karela Fry

  • Take a pan, add a tbsp of oil and put in the karela slices. After draining off the water from it making it quite dry. Fry it till it turns golden brown and crispy.
  • Keep it aside.
  • In another pan take a tsp of oil, add jeera, as it crackles add in the fried pieces.
  • Sprinkle sesame powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  • Toss it finely over the flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Garnish it with chopped dhania.
  • Serve with sambar, rasam or curd rice.
