  • Boiled Potatoes - 1 kg
  • Peas - 1/2 kg
  • Onions - 2 (finely chopped)
  • Salt, chilli, Turmeric powder to taste
  • 2 tsps - Kala Masala
  • Breadcrumbs powder - 1 cup
  • Oil for frying
  • How to Make Matar Patties:

    1. Mash boiled potatoes and make a dough by adding a little salt. Keep aside.
    2. Heat oil in pan and add onions. Fry till a little pinkish, then add peas.
    3. Stir and add turmeric and chilli powder as per taste.
    4. Then add 2 tsp of kala masala, salt and simmer for 10 minutes.
    5. Allow it to cool.
    6. Make patties by stuffing potato dough with prepared bhajji and rolling in bread crumbs.
    7. Deep fry patties in oil till golden brown.
    8. Serve with sauce.
