Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - Meat
  • 1/2 kg - Brinjals
  • 2 - onions, chopped finely
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup - Coconut paste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Meat and Brinjal (Eggplant) Curry:

    1. Cut the brinjals into medium size pieces and soak in water.
    2. Heat oil in a pan or a pressure cooker and fry the onions well.
    3. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute lightly.
    4. Add the tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder and fry for some time.
    5. Add the meat and coconut paste.
    6. Mix well and continue frying for some time till the oil separates from the mixture.
    7. Add salt and 2 or 3 cups of water and cook till the meat is tender.
    8. Add the brinjals and mix well.
    9. Cover and cook till the brinjals are done.
    10. Serve.
