  • 2 tsp - methi seeds
  • 1 tsp - white sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp - coconut
  • a pinch - mustard
  • a pinch - haldi
  • 2 to 3 - dry red chillies
  • 2 tsp - fried grams
  • small lemon size - tamarind
  • jaggery
  • salt
  • water
  • oil - 1 tbsp

How to Make Methi Curry

  • Fry white sesame seeds without adding oil till it changes colour and take it out.
  • Grind coconut, dry red chillies, mustard, haldi, fried grams, tamarind, jaggery, fried white sesame seeds, salt, water.
  • For Seasoning:
  • Warm 2 tsp oil.
  • Add mustard. When it starts to splutter, add methi seeds and fry for a while.
  • Add dry red chillies, fry it for second.
  • Add ground masala, little water and allow gravy to thicken.
  • Transfer to a bowl and serve with chapatti, rice.
