  • a pinch - Hing

  • How to Make Methi Dal Sabzi:

    1. In a blender, coarsely grind the soaked dal, coconut, jeera and green chilli without adding water. The mixture should be a little coarse even after grinding.

    3. Cook in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes.
    4. In a kadai, heat oil, add mustard seeds.
    5. Add curry leaves, haldi and hing after the mustard seeds splutter.
    6. Now add the dal-coconut mixture and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes on low heat. Stir frequently.
    7. Add methi leaves, salt, and sugar.
    8. Mix well and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
    9. Remove from heat.
    10. Add lemon juice and serve hot with rotis/chapattis.
