Ingredients

  • 1kg - fresh cauliflower
  • 1 small bunch fresh methi leaves
  • 1.5 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 3 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 4- medium sized tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 2.5 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1.5 tsp - red chilli powder ½ tsp - turmeric powder
  • finely chopped coriander leaves (to garnish)
  • 8 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Methi Gobi

  • Cut the cauliflower into very small florets and wash well.
  • Finely chop the methi leaves and wash well.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add ginger garlic paste and green chillies.
  • Fry for a minute, add the cauliflower, methi leaves, salt and turmeric powder.
  • Saute on a low flame till the cauliflower starts turning brown in colour.
  • Keep mixing at regular intervals. Add the tomatoes.
  • Saute for 8-10 mins on a medium flame till the tomatoes are tender.
  • Add coriander powder and red chilli powder and cook on a low flame till the oil separates.
  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve with hot chapattis, mango pickle and any dal.
