  • 200 g - all-purpose flour
  • 50 g - semolina (sooji)
  • 1/2 cup - oil
  • 1/2 cup - dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tsp -carom seed(ajwain)
  • salt to taste
  • for frying - vegetable oil

How to Make Methi matthi

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl and knead a little into a hard dough.
  • Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Make small balls and roll to a size of small pancake on flat board, heat oil in a kadai and deep fry on low flame for some time.
  • When it becomes golden from both sides, drain on paper towel.
  • Let it cool and store in air tight container.
  • Enjoy with tea.
