Ingredients

  • 250 g - yellow moong dal
  • 250 g - Fenugreek leaves
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1 cup - Tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • Oil for cooking
  • How to Make Methi moong dal:

    1. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion.
    2. When the onions turn brown, add the tomato puree and ginger garlic paste.
    3. Mix well. When it is done, add the spices, salt and moong dal.
    4. Add 1 cup of water, cover and cook the dal.
    5. When the dal is cooked, add the fenugreek leaves.
    6. Cover and cook for 5 mins.
    7. It should be semi liquid.
    8. Enjoy with rice or roti.
