Ingredients

  • For Chicken
  • 1.5 kg Chicken (Cut into 8 pieces)
  • 1 cup - Thick Curd
  • 3 tbsp - Ginger paste
  • 3 tbsp - Garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • For Masala:
  • 3 finely chopped Onions (medium size)
  • 1 finely chopped Tomato (medium size)
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Dhania powder
  • 1 tsp - Haldi powder
  • 1 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 2 tbsps - Kasuri Methi
  • 4 tbsps - Sunflower oil
  • For Garnishing:
  • 4 tbsps - Chopped coriander
  • How to Make Methi Murg Masala:

    1. For Chicken: In a big bowl, marinate the chicken in a mixture of curd, ginger paste, garlic paste and salt.
    2. Leave it for 1 hour.
    3. For Masala:
    4. In a microwave safe bowl, add oil and onions. Microwave on high (650W) for 13 mins, stirring every 5 mins, till golden brown.
    5. Add the other ingredients except kasoori methi and microwave on high (650W) for another 10 mins till the oil separates. Stir every 5 mins.
    6. Mix the marinated chicken and masala and microwave on high for 12 mins, stirring after every 5 mins.
    7. Add kasuri methi and reduce the power to medium (450W) and microwave for 2 to 3 mins.
    8. Serve hot, garnished with the coriander leaves.
