Ingredients

  • 1 cup - mixture of palak and methi leaves
  • 80 g - rice flour
  • 50 g - besan
  • salt to taste
  • oil for cooking
  • 1 tbsp - mustard seeds
  • 5 to 6 - curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - fresh grated coconut
  • 1 tsp - green chilli and ginger paste
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • a pinch of sugar
  • 1 tsp - fruit salt (sodium citrate)

How to Make Methi Paalak Dhokla

  • In a bowl, take the palak-methi leaves, rice flour, besan, and turmeric. Add water to it and mix well to get a dosa-like batter.
  • Let this batter rest for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Then add the remaining spices, salt and fruit salt.
  • Spread it on a greased plate and steam it.
  • When it is done, cut into desired shapes.
  • Make a tadka with mustard seeds and curry leaves, mix it with the grated coconut and garnish.
