Ingredients

  • Methi seeds -1/2 cup
  • Onions - 4 (Cut finely)
  • Tomatoes - 3 (Cut finely)
  • Jaggery - 1 tbsp
  • Goda Masala (bedekar) - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Methi Seeds Subji

  • Soak the methi seeds overnight.
  • Next morning remove water and transfer the seeds to a muslin cloth.
  • Cover with a vessel and hang to drain overnight.
  • In a kadai, heat oil. Add hing and turmeric.
  • Fry onions for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the methi seeds, masala, jaggery and salt.
  • Cook for another 10 minutes on medium heat.
  • Serve with roti.
