Ingredients

  • Methi seeds -1/2 cup
  • Onions - 4 (Cut finely)
  • Tomatoes - 3 (Cut finely)
  • Jaggery - 1 tbsp
  • Goda Masala (bedekar) - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Methi Seeds Subji:

    1. Soak the methi seeds overnight.
    2. Next morning remove water and transfer the seeds to a muslin cloth.
    3. Cover with a vessel and hang to drain overnight.
    4. In a kadai, heat oil. Add hing and turmeric.
    5. Fry onions for 2-3 minutes.
    6. Add tomatoes and fry for 2-3 minutes.
    7. Add the methi seeds, masala, jaggery and salt.
    8. Cook for another 10 minutes on medium heat.
    9. Serve with roti.
