  • 1/2 kg -Ladies finger,
  • 2 tbsp -dhania powder
  • 2 tomatoes,
  • 1 tbsp- Jeera powder
  • curry leaves,
  • 1/2 tsp- Garam Masala powder
  • pinch of Haldi
  • 2 tsp -chilli powder
  • one big Onion
  • salt,
  • 1/2 tsp- sugar,
  • one tsp -oil
  • for garnishing half onion, and Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Microwave Bhendi Masala:

    1. Chop the onion in to thin slices, place in a bowl. Add dhania powder, jeera powder, haldi, chilli powder, garam masala powder, haldi, salt and sugar.
    2. Add one tbsp of oil to it, mix well and keep aside. Cut the ladyfinger lengthwise (one inch pieces).
    3. Add 2 tbsp of oil in a big kadai, fry the ladyfinger, add a little bit of amchur powder or tamarind powder, fry well, take out and keep it aside.
    4. In the same kadai, add the onions and fry for 2 mins, add finely chopped tomatoes and fry. Mix the bhendi to it, mix well and add salt.
    5. Transfer the whole mix to a microwavable dish, and microwave for about 1 to 2 mins.
    6. Take out and garnish with onion rings and coriander leaves. Serve either with chapathi, poori or with white rice.
