Microwave chicken curry is a non-vegetarian recipe made from chicken. The chicken curry recipe is made in the microwave so it is easy to prepare as compared to traditional chicken curry recipe.

This recipe is cooked using chicken breast along with some spices and condiments. The recipe requires marinating chicken with onion, garlic, ginger and spices and refrigerating it. The mix is then microwaved until the chicken is cooked.


  • 1/2 kg - Chicken breast, cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 - medium Onions
  • 2 Cloves - Garlic
  • 1 inch length of Ginger root
  • 2" stick of Cinnamon
  • 4-6 Cloves
  • 1 Clove of Cardamom
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 small plain yogurt
  • 1-2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 Capsicum chopped
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • How to Make Microwave Chicken Curry:

    1. Chop onion, garlic and ginger root into small pieces.
    2. These can be put in the blender for a few seconds.
    3. Mix all ingredients, including the chicken, in a large microwaveable bowl and place it in a cool place or in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
    4. After that, microwave it on high for 10 mins.
    5. Remove container from the microwave and stir well and then put it in again for another 20 mins.
    6. It's great with rice or chapattis/parathas.
