Ingredients

  • Beans - 100 gm
  • Channa Dal - 1 cup
  • Red Chillies - 4
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves - a few
  • How to Make Microwave Paruppu Usili:

    1. Initially cut the beans, place them in a microwave container, add 1 tbsp of water and salt to taste, and microwave on high for 3 minutes. Keep aside.
    2. Soak the channa dal in water for half an hour, drain water and grind dal in a mixer with salt and red chillies.
    3. In a microwave container, add 2 tbsp of oil, then add mustard seeds and curry leaves and microwave on high for 3 minutes.
    4. Then to the tadka, add the ground paste, sprinkle 1 tbsp of water and microwave on high for 4 minutes, stirring once in between.
    5. Finally add the boiled beans, mix well and microwave on high for 30 seconds.
    6. Serve with rice and sambar.
