  • 3 bunches spinach (finely chopped and washed)
  • 250 g - paneer (cut into cubes)
  • 1 big onion (very finely chopped)
  • 1.5 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tomatoes (made into a puree)
  • 3 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Microwaved Palak Paneer

  • Put the spinach in a large microwave-safe bowl, cover and microwave on 100% power for 6 minutes.
  • Stand 3 to 4 minutes, remove and blend to a smooth puree. Keep aside.
  • Into the same dish, add oil. Microwave at 100% for 2 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and cook for 4 minutes. Add the tomato puree.
  • Cook the tomato puree at the same level for 6 minutes or till the oil starts to separate.
  • Add the coriander powder and salt. Cook for another 60 seconds. Stir in the pureed spinach.
  • Add the paneer cubes and mix very gently and microwave at 60% power for 5 minutes.
  • Serve with hot phulkas and onion slices.
