Ingredients

  • 1 cup - sooji
  • 2 cups - water
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1/3 cup - peas
  • 2 tbsp - Ghee
  • 1/4 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Ginger (chopped)
  • 8 - Cashew nuts
  • Few Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Microwaved Upma:

    1. Rub 1 tbsp of ghee into the sooji.
    2. Roast on micro high for 2 mins.
    3. Take a casserole, place the remaining ghee, mustard and cumin seeds, cashew, curry leaves.
    4. Cook on micro high for 3 mins.
    5. Add onions, ginger, chopped green chillies, cook on micro high for 3 mins.
    6. Add the roasted sooji, salt and water.
    7. Stir well cook on micro high, covered for 10 mins.
    8. Serve with pickle.
