How to Make Milk Maid Besan Burfi

  • Heat half of the ghee in a thick-bottom pan or kadai.
  • Fry besan till a nice aroma arises. Remove and keep aside.
  • Mix sugar with 1.5 cups of water in the kadai.
  • Let it boil till it reaches a thread consistency.
  • Add besan, milk and milk maid, and simmer.
  • Go on stirring while you add the rest of the ghee, a little by little.
  • When it becomes slightly thick, pour onto a greased plate and cut into square or diamond shapes.
  • This is a very tasty sweet.
