Besan burfi is one of those sweets which is loved by everyone and makes for a great sweet during festive occasions such as Diwali, Holi and the likes.

Firstly, take heated ghee in a Kadhai and fry the besan until the rawness is gone and a nice aroma comes from it. Take it off the heat and keep it aside. Next, mix 1.5 cups of water in a Kadhai and sugar, and boil it until it has a thread consistency. Once it does, add milk maid, milk, and besan, and allow it to simmer. Stir continuously while you add ghee, little by little.

Once the mixture has become slightly thick, you need to pour onto a greased plate and cut it into square or diamond shapes. Enjoy this tasty sweet to the hilt!

  • 200 g - sugar
  • 1 tin - condensed milk
  • 1 cup - besan
  • 1 cup - pure ghee
  • 1 cup - milk

How to Make Milk Maid Besan Burfi

  • Heat half of the ghee in a thick-bottom pan or kadai.
  • Fry besan till a nice aroma arises. Remove and keep aside.
  • Mix sugar with 1.5 cups of water in the kadai.
  • Let it boil till it reaches a thread consistency.
  • Add besan, milk and milk maid, and simmer.
  • Go on stirring while you add the rest of the ghee, a little by little.
  • When it becomes slightly thick, pour onto a greased plate and cut into square or diamond shapes.
  • This is a very tasty sweet.
