Ingredients

  • 150 ml - milk (75 ml milk + 75 water)
  • 2 tbsp - rice flour
  • 2 tsp - sugar
  • 4 tbsp - condensed milk
  • 3 pinches - cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp - pistachio or almond slices (optional)
  • 3 - flat earthen bowls
  • 1/2 tsp - saffron ( optional )

How to Make Milkmaid Phirni

  • Arrange the earthen bowls.
  • Boil diluted milk, and add rice flour little by little and stir constantly on a low heat.
  • Keep stirring on low heat for 12 - 15 minutes or till the rice flour blends well the milk.
  • At this point, add 2 tsp sugar and stir constantly for 5 minutes on a low heat.
  • Now the rice mixture is very thick in consistency.
  • Remove from fire and add 4 tbsp condensed milk and stir well for 3 minutes.
  • Pour 1 ladle spoon ( 50 - 75 ml ) rice mixture in each earthen bowls and decorate with almond or pistachio slices and saffron.
  • Sprinkle cardamom powder on top.
  • Keep aside to cool and later frozen it for 3 hours.
