  • 1 - medium watermelon
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice
  • 1 can - ice-cream soda
  • 2 scoops - vanilla ice-cream
  • 2 tbsp - sugar
  • 1 stalk - mint leaves, finely chopped
  • Pepper to taste
  • A few mint leaves for garnishing
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Minty-Melon Juice

  • Chill soda can, till required. Clean and deseed watermelon prior to use.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or till well chilled.
  • Save a couple of chunks of watermelon.
  • Chop these fine, keep refrigerated till required.
  • Transfer remaining chunks to a mixie.
  • Add all ingredients, except ice-cream soda.
  • Pour into 3 tall glasses, which may be previously chilled.
  • Pour a third of soda into each glass, just before serving.
  • Garnish with mint leaves.
  • Serve while soda is still frothing.
