Ingredients

  • 3 - Bell peppers (Chopped)
  • 3/4 cup - Peanuts
  • 1/2 cup - Channa (chick pea) flour
  • 1 tbsp - Grated coconut
  • 1 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • 1.5 tsp - Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - Salt
  • 2 dashes - Hing (Asafetida)
  • 5 tbsp - Oil
  • 1 tsp - Sugar

How to Make Mircha Nu Shak

  • Chop peanuts in a blender coarsely until you have a combination of powder and some small chunks.
  • In a large bowl, mix chopped peanuts with flour, coconut, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric, salt and sugar.
  • Add chopped bell peppers to the bowl and coat thoroughly with the peanut mixture.
  • Heat 3 tbsps oil and hing in a microwave safe bowl until you hear the hing sizzle.
  • Transfer coated bell peppers and remaining mixture to the oil.
  • Pour 1 tbsp oil over the bell peppers.
  • Cover bowl with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 4 minutes.
  • Take out, stir, add 1 tsp more oil on top of bell peppers and microwave for another 3 minutes.
  • Ready to serve (will generally serve 4)
  • This usually goes well served with roti or puri.
