Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls vermicelli
  • 7 tbsp - sugar
  • 4 to 5 green cardamoms (powdered)
  • 3 tbsp - ghee
  • 2 cups - water

How to Make Mithi Seviyan (Sweet Vermicelli)

  • Break the vermicelli into medium-sized pieces.
  • Lightly heat the ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel for few seconds.
  • On a low flame, fry the vermicelli till it turns a shade darker than golden, add water and powdered cardamoms.
  • Cook on a medium flame, stirring continuously till the water dries up. Add sugar.
  • When the water from the sugar dries up, cover it with a lid and remove from the stove.
  • Serve hot after 5 mins.
