Mithi seviyan or Sweet vermicelli is a perfect recipe made for people with sweet tooth. The delicious vermicelli is cooked into a kid friendly dessert which is popular household dessert in India.

This tasty dessert is easy to make by boiling the vermicelli with water on a slow flame. The main ingredient that you need is vermicelli. Get good quality vermicelli from super market and mix it with sugar and water.

  • 2 handfuls vermicelli
  • 7 tbsp - Sugar
  • 4 to 5 green Cardamoms (powdered)
  • 3 tbsp - Ghee
  • 2 cups - water
  • How to Make Mithi Seviyan (Sweet Vermicelli):

    1. Break the vermicelli into medium-sized pieces.
    2. Lightly heat the ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel for few seconds.
    3. On a low flame, fry the vermicelli till it turns a shade darker than golden, add water and powdered cardamoms.
    4. Cook on a medium flame, stirring continuously till the water dries up. Add sugar.
    5. When the water from the sugar dries up, cover it with a lid and remove from the stove.
    6. Serve hot after 5 mins.
