Ingredients

  • 100g - Channa dal
  • 2 - small Green chillies chopped
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric
  • 1 pinch - Asafoetida
  • 1 bunch - coriander, chopped
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp - tender coconut, grated

How to Make Mokali Dal

  • Soak channa dal in water for 1 hour.
  • Once dal is soaked, remove all water and dry.
  • Grind dal in food processor.
  • Heat oil and add mustard.
  • When mustard seeds pop up, add green chilli, asafoetida, and turmeric.
  • Add ground dal, salt, and lemon juice.
  • Mix and cook for 3-5 mins.
  • Garnish it with coriander and coconut.
