How to Make Molagutal

  • Cut the vegetables into cubes and cook them with haldi and salt in a pressure cooker.
  • Grind together the coconut, jeera and red chillies.
  • Boil the tuar dal.
  • Now take a vessel, add the vegetables along with the water it boiled in (it's got all the proteins).
  • Mix the vegetables, the dal and the ground masala and cook for 5 minutes. Add salt.
  • Mix wheat flour with a little water and make into a paste.
  • Mix this with the molagutal. This will thicken the mixture.
  • Now remove the vessel from the gas and keep a pan instead.
  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, white dal.
  • After they splutter, add to the molagutal.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
