Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Moong dal
  • 7 to 10 - Red Chillies
  • 2 cloves - Garlic
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 Tbsp - Lime Juice
  • For Seasoning: 1 tsp - Urad dal
  • 1 tsp - Chana dal
  • a pinch - Hing
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 2 to 3 - Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp - Oil

How to Make Moong Dal Chutney

  • Soak moong dal for 30 mins. Then grind moong dal, red chillies, cumin seeds, salt and garlic into a thick fine paste.
  • Take oil in the seasoning pan, add mustard seeds.
  • When they start spluttering, add urad dal, chana dal and hing. When the contents become golden brown, add curry leaves and the seasoning mix to the ground paste.
  • Then add the lime juice.
  • Serve with hot rice and ghee.
