Ingredients

  • 1/2 inch piece - cinnamon
  • 1 - cardamom
  • 2 - cloves
  • 1 cup - moong dal
  • 1 medium size - onion
  • 1 - tomato
  • 1 - green chilli
  • 1 pinch - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 3 - 4 - chopped garlic
  • 1 - medium size lemon
  • 3 tsp - oil

How to Make Moong Dal Korma

  • Dry roast moong dal for a few mins till the aroma is released.
  • Pressure cook dal with 1/4 cup of water till mushy and keep aside.
  • In a kadai, heat oil, add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom and saute well.
  • Add chilli, garlic and onion and keep sauteing till onions are fried well.
  • Now add tomato and fry for 2 mins.
  • Add turmeric and chilli powder.
  • Add mashed moong dal and 1/2 cup water.
  • Leave it to boil for 5 mins.
  • Squeeze lemon while serving.
