Ingredients

  • 2 cups - moong dal
  • 2 tsp - besan floor
  • 5 to 6 - Green chillies
  • Salt and Sugar to taste
  • 1sp - Jeera
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • 3 - big Onions finely chopped
  • 1tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • A few Curry leaves
  • How to Make Moong Vada:

    1. Soak the moong for 7 to 8 hours. Drain and tie them in white muslin cloth and keep for the whole night (until they sprout).
    2. Add the sprouted moong in a blender and coarsely grind with chillies, jeera, ginger garlic paste, sugar and salt.
    3. Now add the onion, coriander, curry leaves (finely chopped) to the moong.
    4. Add 1 tsp oil and besan to the above preparation.
    5. Make small vada and deep fry until golden brown.
