  • 1 cup - yoghurt/curd
  • Ginger, small quantity
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • grated/shredded coconut, small quantity
  • 1 tsp - red gram dal
  • 1 tsp - Bengal Gram dal
  • 1/2 tsp - fried gram dal
  • 2 - Cashew nuts
  • 1 tsp - raw Rice
  • curry leaves, small quantity
  • coriander leaves, small quantity
  • Turmeric powder, small quantity
  • oil for frying
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Mor Kuzhambu:

    1. Soak red gram dal, Bengal gram dal, fried gram dal, raw rice and cashew nuts for 1 hour. Then grind them to a paste.
    2. Grind coconut, ginger and green chillies and make a paste. Mash the curd till it resembles butter milk.
    3. Add little water, turmeric powder and salt to it. Mix it well.
    4. Heat oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds, add curry leaves, and then add ginger paste and dal paste followed by curd mix. Mix them well.
    5. Add a little salt. Garnish with coriander leaves.
