Ingredients

  • 300 gms - fresh spinach
  • 1 kg - self raising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp - (heaped) instant yeast
  • 2 tsp - sugar
  • salt to taste

How to Make Morogo Dumplings

  • Cook the spinach, drain very well and chop. Drain again.
  • Add the instant yeast to the flour and add salt.
  • Add warm water to make dough.
  • Add the spinach. Prove for 2 hours. Ball into quarters.
  • Place on steaming stew, seal lid tightly.
  • Cook 1.5 hours.
  • Do not open lid while cooking.
