Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Thick Poha/Thick Beaten Rice flakes
  • 2 cups - Thick yogurt
  • 1/2 cup - Water
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1.5 tsp - Urad dal/Split skinned black gram
  • 1/2 tsp - Ginger gratings
  • 1 - Green chilli, slit lengthwise
  • 2 - Coriander leaves/Cilantro sprigs
  • 1 - Curry leaves sprig
  • 2 tsp - Oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Mosaravalakki

  • Take beaten rice flakes in a bowl.
  • Clean them with running water and drain completely.
  • Crackle mustard seeds and urad dal in oil.
  • As they crackle add green chillies, ginger gratings, curry leaves, coriander leaves and saute.
  • Remove it off the flame.
  • To the drained beaten rice kept aside, add yogurt, water, salt to taste and mix well.
  • Add the seasoning prepared on top.
  • Give a mix and garnish with cilantro
