Ingredients

  • 1 cup - shredded radish
  • 1 tbsp - Channa dal
  • 1 tbsp - Urad Dal
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin
  • 1/4 cup - Tomatoes cubes
  • 3 - hot Green chillies
  • 1 inch piece - Ginger
  • For seasoning: Oil as needed
  • A pinch - Asafoetida
  • 1 spring - Curry leaves
  • A pinch - mustard
  • A pinch - cumin
  • 1/8 tsp - Channa dal
  • 1/8 tsp - Urad Dal
  • Garlic crushed - 1 tsp
  • How to Make Mullangi chutney:

    1. Roast the dals separately, switch off heat and add cumin to it
    2. Fry the chillies and grated radish for 10 mins on a medium flame, keep aside
    3. Add salt to tomatoes and fry till they turn pulpy
    4. When cool powder dals and cumin together with ginger, green chillies, radish and tomatoes and grind to a smooth paste.
    5. Season with ingredients.
