How to Make Mulligatwany Mutton Chops

  • Combine all the ingredients from chops to salt.
  • Add 1 cup of water and pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile roast and powder all the ingredients from red chilies to chana dal.
  • Mix with turmeric powder. Add the powder to cooked chops with coconut milk.
  • Boil steadily till most of the liquid is evaporated and the masala is thick enough to coat the chops.
  • Heat oil in a small fry pan.
  • Fry onion till dark brown.
  • Add curry leaves.
  • Pour this over the chops and mix well.
