Ingredients

  • 1 kg - fresh Chicken
  • 4 - onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - garlic-ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • Garam Masala - ( 2 - cardamom, 2 - cloves, 2 - Cinnamon sticks)
  • 2 - potatoes, cut into 8 pieces
  • 1 tbsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 - tomato, finely chopped
  • 4 - tbsp Mustard oil

How to Make Murgi Manshor Patla Jhol

  • Clean, wash, drain and pat dry the chicken pieces and marinate with 1 tsp salt and turmeric along with all the masalas except chopped onions.
  • Heat the pressure cooker, with some oil.
  • Fry the potatoes pieces with 1 tsp of salt and turmeric powder
  • Add the onions fry till pink in colour.
  • Add the marinated chicken, chopped tomatoes and pressure cook for 5 mins.
  • When the pressure subsides open the lid, add 1/2 cup hot water.
  • Cook for at least 10 mins till 1 whistle.
  • Simmer for sometime and serve.
