Ingredients

  • 200 gms - button mushrooms, cut into small pieces
  • 1 - small head Cauliflower weighing around 250 gms, cut into very small pieces
  • 2 cups - fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder or moreas per taste
  • 100 gms - roasted Peanuts
  • 1/2 tsp - annar dana powder
  • 1/2 tsp - roasted Jeera powder
  • oil for deep frying
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Mushroom and Cauliflower Cutlets

  • Heat the 2 tsp oil and fry the mushroom pieces and the cauliflower pieces till all the water is evaporated.
  • Cool to room temperature and then grind in a mixer to obtain a fine mixture.
  • Remove to a mixing bowl and add the spices and the breadcrumbs and the peanuts.
  • Add the salt and mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into portions and shape into round tikkies.
  • Heat oil and fry a few tikkies at a time till golden brown.
  • Serve with ketchup or mustard sauce or any chutney as a starter.
