Indian-style Mushrooms or Mushroom-Do-Pyaza is a mushroom curry with onions done two ways: Blended and fried. Mushroom-Do-Pyaza is best served with hot rotis
Ingredients
- 250 g - mushroom
- 500 g - onions
- 4 - tomatoes
- Pinch of turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
- 3/4 tsp - salt
- 1 tsp - coriander powder
- 1 tsp - garam masala
- 1 tsp - fresh cream
- 2 tbsp - Oil
- 3 tsp 4 - garlic cloves
How to Make Indian-style Mushrooms
- Wash the mushrooms and keep aside.
- Chop onions and tomatoes.
- Make a paste of half the onions and garlic cloves.
- Heat oil in a pan and stir fry the onion-garlic paste till pink.
- Add turmeric, chilli, coriander powder and salt.
- Sprinkle 1 tbsp water and fry the masala mixture.
- Add chopped tomatoes and stir fry till tender.
- Add mushrooms and rest of the onions, mix well.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook till onions are soft.
- Open the lid, sprinkle garam masala and fold the mixture.
- Garnish with cream and serve hot.
