  • 1/2 kg - button mushrooms,
  • 2 - Onions chopped finely,
  • few Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - Ginger and Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 - medium size tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Mushroom Spicy Fry:

    1. Wash and cut mushrooms into thin round shapes.
    2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard.
    3. When they splutter add curry leaves and onions and fry till they turn golden brown.
    4. Add tomatoes, chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste and saute for a few minutes.
    5. Now add mushrooms and mix well.
    6. Cook on low heat for a few minutes till the mushrooms are cooked.
    7. Care should be taken not to overcook or they will get smashed.
    8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
    9. Serve with rice or chapattis.
