Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 cup - chopped French beans
  • 1 cup - mushrooms, cleaned
  • 1 tbsp - Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 2 tbsp - chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • For mixture:
  • 1/4 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 1 - Bay Leaf
  • 2 to 3 - Cloves
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1 tbsp - Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp - Tomato puree
  • How to Make Mushroom Stew:

    1. In a pan, put cabbage, beans, water and vinegar. Simmer for 40-45 mins.
    2. Add mixed ingredients to cabbage.
    3. Let it simmer for 10 mins.
    4. Cover the mushrooms with boiling water and cover it.
    5. Keep the mushroom aside for 15 mins.
    6. Drain and chop the mushrooms.
    7. In a pan, heat oil
    8. Simmer mushroom till brown.
    9. Remove and keep aside.
    10. Add more oil if required and saute onion till tender.
    11. Mix mushroom and onion well.
    12. In a baking dish, put 1/2 of cabbage mixture.
    13. Then put the layer of mushroom mixture and finally top with remaining cabbage mixture.
    14. Pour 1/2 of water over it.
    15. Bake for 35-40 mins at 350 degrees C.
    16. Serve hot.
