  • 450 g - button mushrooms
  • 300 ml -red wine
  • 550 g - tomatoes, seeded & chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped finely
  • 1 clove - garlic, chopped finely
  • 1 tbsp - coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp - tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp - olive oil
  • black pepper, ground as required
  • parsley as required
  • salt as required

How to Make Mushrooms La Grecque

  • Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the chopped onions, garlic and saute till they change colour.
  • Next add the coriander seeds, wine, tomato puree and stir well.
  • Add the button mushrooms, chopped tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Let the mixture boil and remove once the mushrooms become soft.
  • Remove from heat, cool and chill for several hours before serving.
