Ingredients

  • 250 g - Mutton with bone
  • 1 cup - thick Coconut Milk
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1 bunch - Coriander leaves
  • 4 - Cashew nuts paste
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1/2 inch - Ginger
  • 4 pod - Garlic
  • 1 tsp - pepper
  • 1/4 tsp - Jeera
  • 1/2 tsp -coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric
  • Curry leaves
  • salt to taste
  • oil
  • How to Make Mutton Mulligatawny:

    1. Boil mutton in the cooker for 10 mins, with at least 2 cups of water.
    2. Grind all the above green masala (ginger, garlic, green chillies, jeera, pepper, coriander powder, coriander leaves).
    3. Mix this to the boiled mutton, add cashewnut paste, salt to taste and boil this masala with mutton for 5 mins.
    4. Add coconut milk, keep aside.
    5. In a kadai pour oil, add sliced onions, curry leaves and pour over the curry.
    6. Lastly add lemon juice.
    7. Enjoy with steamed rice.
